Fun game, used to play when a lot of people were on, for sure a dying game. Actual gameplay is 10/10 and the censorship is hilarious but only when done automatically. Its all well and good to keep your game clean but being suspended for names like “shriveledsack” or “Tonytheterrorist” feels a little overkill regardless of poor taste. I also like that there is a penalty for leaving after death because there are mechanics allowing you to help teammates post mortem, except for when your entire team is going to lose in an unranked game that will be on for another 30 minutes. I paid because of my past experiences with the game just to compensate them for good times, but my recent playtime has removed my rose tinted glasses to reveal a game that’s a husk of its former self in my mind. Even after purchasing the dlc which I hadnt used in the past, I realized immediately that the vanilla coven lobby is empty, forcing me to play the unranked all any mode to find a game. As previously stated even though it’s the only option, you must wait the whole game, even if u die day 1 with 16 players. I will say you may leave if your team has been eliminated, however about if not more than 50% of the time you will be town, meaning if you have even one unrevealed player role in a game, you have to stay or risk being banned because that person could’ve theoretically interacted with you regardless of the fact that u have 0 info because of your night 1 death in this hypothetical. TLDR: DLC forces you into garbage time traps, base game good but dying.

As the game dies, the moderator have more and moretime on their hand. I’m glad they actually issue bans, unlike a lot of games, but you can be permanently banned for leaving a game before you die three different times, assuming you are successfully reported for all of them. Additionally, some rules cover a whole lot more then they let on, giving the staff a large amount of leeway. I have been banned for game throwing before; I deserved it, and so do others who do the same. But look at the forums, there are multiple recent permanent ban complaints resulting from simple disconnects. This is just one of the stingy reasons you can find, all while finding several people spamming racial slurs in almost every lobby. The relatively young player base does not really care about hate, but will go out of their way to mass report anyone who costs them a win. And again, this game is almost dead. Only some of the game modes ever have any players, and that number is only going down as more and more of the dwindling regular player base is permanently banned. So you’re buying an incomplete product at this point. Don’t even get me started on the 5 dollar empty lobby DLC you can also buy.One last point is that the devs and moderators are very open about the fact that anyone is perfectly welcome to buy another account to play again if you’re permbanned.
