“Pilgrims” is an unconventional blend of an adventure and card game, where you assume the role of a vagrant trying to secure passage on a river boat, which brings him on a string of quests full of fun to complete first. As you travel on the game map, you get to build your deck with additional NPCs and items which you can use in different situations; those usually have multiple solutions (as reflected in diverse achievements), and most items can be picked and used repeatedly. On the technical side, the game is just the quality that you’d expect from Amanita Design: graphics and animation in naïve art style that resemble illustrations in books for children, accompanied by catchy music. Overall, if you’re looking for a casual game to relax a bit, something that your kids can play too, definitely pick this game. Pilgrims es un juego adorable y muy original en sus mecánicas: en vez de controlar un personaje e indicarle con qué objetos interactuar, controlamos todo mediante cartas. Y cuando digo todo, me refiero a realmente todo: podemos poner y sacar de escena a distintos personajes (que se comportan de distintas maneras) jugando o guardando sus cartas, a la vez que podemos interactuar con el inventario “entregandole” distintas cartas a distintos personajes.
