About Slasher Blade:
A tough one to review. The beginning can seem very unforgiving and you may get the feeling that you are making no progress at all and keep getting killed and losing all your stuff. For this reason I came very close to uninstalling the game on several occasions, but in the end I’m quite happy and pleased I stuck with it. Once you learn and understand the basic mechanics of the game like blocking/parrying and dumping all your items down the item chute and starting over as the enemies start to get too overpowered compared to your level/items the game gets a lot more enjoyable. An exploit everyone should probably know is closing the game with ALT+F4 when getting killed so you don’t have to start all over and can then just load your last save and continue from there. Obviously not how it is supposed to be played, but it does make the game more fun and enjoyable. A deal breaker for some so a heads up: there is no option to rebind keys. But at least you can use Autohotkey or similar third party programs. Since dark and darker playtest has been over my life has been meaningless. This little gem is the only thing that came close to scratching the itch. Mechanics are great (little clunky), graphics are good, items are interesting. Game is engaging and will keep me busy until dark and darker comes out.
