About Speed Champions:
Well, this game dig my attention for several reasons, but instead of listing them, I’m going to relate what this game makes me feel emotionally; When I was little I played a game on the Playstation 1 called “Rayman Racing“, if they ask me “Mario kart or Crash racing?” My answer will be always “The racing games of my childhood was Rayman Racing and Bomberman Fantasy Race.” Now, what Rayman Racing has that I liked is that it was really a platform game and despite the fact that it is a game that is logically about racing and therefore it is different from the original saga. I was never such a fan of Rayman, but still liked that spin-off), he did feel that urge to make it similar to the original game, not like other platform games that make them racing who introduce cars what they don’t need in the first place since the characters cast can run and move even better without them. (And probably most of them don’t know and anatomically can’t even drive. SpeedRunners takes the best of modern platform games such as Super Meat Boy and combines it with some PvP mechanics what alsso can be dodge with skill and that makes it a gem of this genre, a work that dares to do something different instead of doing the same thing than Nintendo do. I may not be the best player, and I’m glad there’s a work out there that slaps right in the face on those who say “racing games should all be like Need for Speed and Mario Kart, is absurd to think something different in a already established genre”. And if you ask it: Yes, that was a true debate in 2013.
